A backset is a distance from the edge of the door to the center of the borehole. In the United States, there are two common backsets for residential door locks: Standard (2 ⅜ inches) and Long (2 ¾ inches).

The strike plate is located on the door frame and is where the bolt extends in the locked position. Level locks are engineered to meet ANSI standard strike plate dimensions.
If your current strike plate cutout height measures 2 ¼", we offer a short strike plate. Works with both Level Touch and Level Bolt.
